Okayama : Yvan at one step from the leadership !

Yvan Muller with a consistent and efficient drive, as well as a podium finish in the second race, placed himself one step from the leadership. The last meeting of the calendar, which will be held in Macau on November 22nd, will decide on the two world titles of the 2009 season.

SEAT keeps the leadership in the World Touring Car Championship after the two races staged today at the German Oschersleben racetrack. However in the drivers’ standings, Yvan Muller is third, after giving away several points due to an incident in the first race.

Yvan Muller despite the difficulties have been able to keep the leadership after the British race with two points achieved in the second race. The recent changes in the application of the technical regulations made it more difficult to follow the pace of the rival cars on the British track.

The Portuguese track of Porto has been the venue of two eventful races at the seventh meeting of the World Touring Car Championship, which nonetheless ended-up with a new success for SEAT, with two podium finishes of Yvan Muller and the points scored by Tiago Monteiro.

Yvan Muller achieved a quite great overall result in Brno, venue of the sixth meeting of the World Touring Car Championship, with one of the less favourable circuits for the SEAT León TDI.

WTCC in Valencia

SEAT achieved another success claiming the top three positions in the first race with Yvan Muller as the winner, followed by Tiago Monteiro and Gabriele Tarquini.
